Dig In Baseball 14U (Ballance)
The Dig In Baseball 14U (Ballance) team is now 19-9 on the season. After another strong performance this weekend, in which the team went 3-2 in a strong field at Anne Arundel County. They lost in the tournament championship game. With this, the team has played in 4 out of 6 championship games this spring/summer., winning 3 out of 4. The team captains Miller Romm and Mitchell Johnson showed great leadership all weekend. Miller Romm was the teams Dig In Player of the weekend. He had such a solid all around performance as lead off hitter, center fielder and relief pitcher. Ethan Giacalone also continued to make a case for being one of the top catchers in the 2020 class in the state of Maryland with his defense and offensive prowess. His ringing double off the fence in semi final game versus the Olney Bucs showcased that. First Basemen Chase Robinson had a strong weekend at the plate. Coach Ballance would like to thank all the players and parents for this past weekend and had these comments to say:
"I am really proud of our guys, to play at the level in which they did this weekend, against the quality of opponents in which we faced, goes to the growth and development that the team has gone through. This all started in our winter training baseball program and really reiterates the fact of the desire and passion this team has for the game of passion. I am looking forward to see how we continue to play and mature through the second half of the season."
